Our Client is a Global non FMCG company. In order to serve its customers better, and drive the business to the next level, our client is currently looking to hire Legal Counsel, Kiev, Ukraine
Responsibilities:
-follow the development and advise JV management of new legislation and legal practices relevant to retail business
-advising, negotiating and drafting works and services, sale and purchase of land, and other commercial agreements related to the retail business of the JV
-managing and implementing compliance activities and initiatives related to the JV
-advising on dispute resolution, employment related matters, day-to-day operational matters and other cross-sector legal issues
-is responsible for ensuring that the JV is provided with high quality and cost effective legal advice and services necessary to conduct business in a manner that is lawful and safeguards the interests of the JV
Requirements:
-up to 5 years of legal experience, with some or substantial time spent in private legal practice in Ukraine or other similar civil law jurisdiction
-strong written and communication skills in Ukrainian, Russian and English languages
-excellent negotiating and legal drafting skills
-solid understanding of corporate, contract, real estate, intellectual property (branding) and HSSE legislation
-solid understanding of anti-competition legislation
-extensive experience in legal and commercial negotiations
-experience in dealing with complex international civil law contracts
-possessing a high level of commercial astuteness and business sense
-strong analytical skills and an ability to find creative solutions to legal and commercial issues, within acceptable legal frameworks
-the ability to handle complex and sensitive government and partner relations
-advanced PC user
-good understanding of Western and Ukrainian corporate governance standards
